Department of Ideological and Political Theory Courses

Department of Ideological and Political Theory Courses, the ideological and political theory teaching and research unit in the University, was established in September 2017. The department currently has 20 full-time ideological and political teachers, including 3 professors, 7 associate professors, and 3 lecturers. There are three teaching and research sections: Sinicization of Marxism, Ideological and Moral Cultivation and Fundamentals of Law, Modern History and Situation and Policy.

The Department starts from the basics to improve the teaching quality. The first is to set up seminars for intensive reading of classics——"Approach the Classics" for teachers who teach ideological and political theory course to improve their Marxism theoretical literacy and teaching level. Secondly, the Department strengthens practical teaching in order to make up the deficiency of the teachers’ social practice, including making full use of the training base for ideological and political course teachers approved by Ministry of Education and carrying out practical training of the teachers. Besides, the Department also strengthens the integration of theory and practice in all aspects of teaching to improve teaching effect.
